A new European patent (EP 3277634) has been granted for Active, officially validating the development of Active.

Ongoing research and unceasing experimental work by Iris Ceramica Group R & D team and Università degli Studi di Milano produced an innovative preparation combining titanium dioxide and silver. Applied to ceramic surfaces, this new formulation enables Active products to continuously deliver high performance even under artificial LED light, maintaining antibacterial properties 24/7, even in the dark, due to the combined action of photocatalysis and silver.

A milestone which is now officially recognized by the publication of a European patent, reflecting the value of Italian research and Holding’s commitment to developing innovative solutions for responsible, state-of-the-art designs.
