The research-study carried out on Active Surfaces® sample about the efficacy against SARS-CoV-2 virus has been featured in the scientific magazine International Journal of Molecular Sciences.

The International Journal of Molecular Sciences sets out to publish the latest discoveries in the field of molecular studies in biology and chemistry, pioneering research that inspires the scientific community worldwide. In the latest issue, focusing specifically on “Materials for Infectious Diseases”, Active Surfaces® ceramic surfaces featured in a specific article that unequivocally demonstrates their effectiveness against SARS-CoV-2.

The synergy between titanium dioxide and silver, the basis of the formulation of Active Surfaces®, is able to destroy the SARS-CoV-2 virus much more quickly than the natural decay of the virus, through a radical oxidation reaction which is accelerated by light, both UV and LED. This makes the surfaces naturally sanitised, without the continuous use of alcohol or detergents, to protect and safeguard our health and the environment.
