    A circular material

The ceramic surfaces of all the Iris Ceramica Group brands are made using a careful selection of raw materials and are 100% recyclable. Active Surfaces® are made with 40% of recycled materials, in conformity with the LEED requirement.

Furthermore, laboratory tests have demonstrated that 1 m2 of eco-active Active Surfaces® takes just 2 years to compensate the nitrogen oxide emissions linked to its production, in contrast to traditional inert construction materials.

    ACTIVE SURFACES® FOR BUILDINGS CERTIFICATIONS

The innovative and sustainable technology of Active Surfaces® also makes it easier to obtain a number of buildings certifications.

    WELL Building Standard

WELL certification was launched in 2014 by the International WELL Building Institute™ (IWBI™). The system sets out to define the parameters for measuring how buildings can improve people’s lives.

    Gold standard

The Gold Standard is one of the strictest standards for the certification of carbon credits. Specifically, it ensures that renewable energy projects effectively reduce carbon dioxide emissions and produce benefits for the local population.

    LEED CERTIFICATION

The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification system assesses and certifies the environmental, social and economic sustainability of buildings considered as a whole.

    BREEAM CERTIFICATION

BREEAM is an environmental sustainability assessment method which considers the principles and strategic requirements for measuring the environmental, social and economic impacts of the whole life cycle of a building.
